Czech Centre Seoul
The Czech Centre Seoul was established on February 1, 2013 as 22nd centre in the organization of Czech Centres and 4th centre outside of Europe. The Czech Centre Seoul represents 5th European cultural institute (after institutes of Germany, France, Great Britain and Italy) in the Republic of Korea.
The Czech Centres promote Czech cultural life on the international stage and actively reinforce the perception of the Czech Republic throughout the world as a modern and creative country with a rich cultural tradition. The organization was established and is funded by the Czech Republic’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to advocate on behalf of the Czech Republic abroad. It is also a member of the EUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture) network.
The seat of the Centre is in the Castle Praha, a building designed similarly to Prague's Old Town City Hall, in the well-known area of Hongik University, Seoul. It has its own gallery, where small exhibitions and regular programs take place. The Czech Centre Seoul offers various cultural events related to Czech Republic.
