Slovakia | V4@Theatre Critics Residency 2023

The Association Divadelná Nitra, Slovakia, together with its partners, is calling for applications from young theatre professionals (35 or under) for their V4@Theatre Critics Residency, 22 to 27 September 2023 at the International Theatre Festival Divadelná Nitra 2023, Slovakia.

V4@Theatre Critics Residency, held in English, offers participants an opportunity to watch and discuss performances of the 32nd edition of the International Theatre Festival Divadelná Nitra under the tutelage of international lecturers, to meet theatre professionals from Europe, take part in a specialised workshop, and engage in debates with artists, critics at the Festival.

In 2023, the overarching theme of the project is "crisis in art". In an effort to find ways to elicit audience response, participants will also focus on the current decline of public interest in live art.

The theme will be reflected in the artistic and professional programme at the 32nd edition of the International Theatre Festival Nitra 2023, along with two online lectures in late 2023.

Eastern Partnership Countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine

Accommodation during the residency
Lunches while at the Festival
Reimbursement of return travel costs to Nitra
An opportunity to become member of Consultant Programme Board and help select the programme of the subsequent annual edition
