None

seachoreolabMyDance Alliance and Rimbun Dahan announce the Southeast Asian Choreolab 2014, taking place at Rimbun Dahan, outside Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 1-9 May 2014 and invites applications from emerging choreographers from Southeast Asia.

During the Choreolab, 15 selected emerging choreographers from Southeast Asia will live, work and play together in the arts community of Rimbun Dahan for 9 days, with thoughtful and supportive guidance from our (proposed) international facilitator, British/Australian choreographer, dancer and teacher Janis Claxton.

The Choreolab will provide accommodation, meals and domestic transportation in Kuala Lumpur. Participants are required to find their own funding to cover airfare, travel insurance and visas (necessary only for Myanmar).

The organisers want to promote the application call quickly through SE Asia dance networks to reach as many quality participants as possible. The aim to get 4 participants from Malaysia, and 1-2 participants each from Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Burma/Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Papua New Guinea and East Timor.
