Silpakorn University Art Centre

Silpakorn University Art Center is located at Wang Tha Phra Campus. Established in 1979, it aims at promoting and disseminating knowledge and information about contemporary art. It comprises of extensive temporary exhibition space plus facilities for opening ceremonies, art forums, seminars, lectures and workshop activities. 

The Centre is an institution established to promote the creation of contemporary art and cultural exchanges within and outside the country. The Art Center premises consist of two former royal buildings : the Grand Hall and the Pannarai Wing. Occupying a central location at this campus, it is Thailand's most prestigeous art gallery. It holds art exhibitions and similar activities througout the year, including three major national events : the National Art Exhibition, the Exhibition of Contemporary Art by Young Artists, and the National Ceramic Art Exhibition.

The Center has cooperated with other organisations in both public and private sectors in organising art competitions and art exhibitions by foreign artists, annual exhibitions of students' art thesis as well as those of lecturers and professors in the fields of art and design. It also has embarked upon exchanges of exhibitions with foreign institutions.
