The Audiovisual Information Centre AIC is responsible for providing information about the cinematographic and audiovisual environment in Slovakia and about the latest opportunities for financial support

Films from the archive and art-films are screened daily in the study SFI cinema "Filmotéka" and in the Slovak and Czech films cinema on the premises of the ic.sk Film Club in Bratislava. The Slovak Film Institute supports the distribution of alternative and artistic programmes. An extensive videotheque forms part of the institution. As a methodological centre, the SFI provides screen-writing and tuition assistance for activities aimed at film, audiovisual and cultural education.
