The ITI - International Theatre Institute - holds its World Congress in Xiamen, China 19-24 September with some 1000 delegates expected from China and around the world. The theme of the World Congress is: Empowering the Performing Arts: Journey through Xiqu The ITI World Congress will be held at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Centre.  ITI estimates an attendance of 300 international delegates and 700 Chinese delegates for the congress, and an even wider reach to the local audience with 13 theatre and dance performances across several venues in Xiamen. The ITI Dance Committee has also issued a: Call for Dancers and Choreographers for the Congress In order to strengthen the role of Dance in ITI we need dancers, choreographers and dance professionals from your country to attend the congress. ITI Members are invited to make sure that you include them in your centre´s delegation, so that they can take part in the International Dance Committee of ITI. The International Dance Committee has launched the project 'Peace in 2 minutes'.
