Playgrounds Digital Arts Festival

Playgrounds is an institute and platform that connects and forms international creative communities within the fields of illustration, animation, games, digital design and art. Their goal is to increase creative self-confidence, skills, knowledge and inclusivity within the creative industry.

Playgrounds is an innovator and connector between makers, industry, education and audience, providing a stable fundament to boost new and relevant developments in the moving image fields of animation, visual effects, digital arts, film and games. They are a platform that showcases and celebrates the creative image. They stimulate new developments, signal innovative movements, they inspire an international creative industry and connect people to the best and brightest artists and animators, extraordinary filmmakers, game-, sound- and graphic designers.

Since 2006 they have organised several Playgrounds festivals and conferences. What was first a yearly event turned in 2017 into a bi-annual momentum where the international creative industry comes together. Audiences can attend artist talks, workshops, films and masterclasses. During the year they offer several inspiring festivals and events, either online, on location or in a hybrid form.
