Onassis Foundation

Onassis Foundation works in culture, education and health. Onassis Culture, with the Onassis Stegi as its hub, begins the conversation about what’s happening and what should be happening in Athens, and beyond. 

The foundation works in theatrical and dance performances, art exhibits, conversations, lectures, printed editions, film open calls and has a digital presence. They also run Onassis AiR, a year-long programme situated in the centre of Athens, in which all participating residents can interact as equals, without the pressure of time, work and deadlines. This initiative represents the Foundation’s philosophy: that the conditions for creation must be ensured in order to create freely. Throughout the year they have a number of open calls and they also offer scholarships.
