Mohatta Palace Museum
The Mohatta Palace Museum in Karachi was inaugurated on 15 September 1999. Purchased by the Sindh Government with the aim of converting the striking ornate structure into a museum of international standing devoted to the arts, the Mohatta Palace Museum is a source of pride for the citizens of Karachi and serves as symbol of a cultural renaissance in the city.
The museum holds two or more exhibitions every year, presenting a wide range of themes from contemporary art and cartography to textiles of the sub-continent. These exhibitions are are extremely engaging and appeal to a huge section of the city’s populace.
