Mediateca Toscana Film Commission is an institution whose purpose is to promote and to develop multimedia and audiovisual activities, with particular attention to cultural, environmental and natural resources from Tuscany. It is therefore a cinematic cultural centre where all kinds of people, such as students, filmlovers, artists, people who works in the field can find lots of information and opportunities regarding cinema.

Mediateca with its collection of thousands of auteur films and documentaries is open to students, critics, and cinephiles. It organizes and promotes cultural and formative events meant to draw young and adult people to film. One of the most important resources of Mediateca since its debut has been the production of documentaries and films, and, since 2005, the production of multimedia subjects. Together with Toscana Film Commission, it also provides free assistance to film crew.
