La Neomudejar is the Avant-Garde Arts Centre and Residence and Artist Residency in Madrid.
La Neomudéjar is a centre for arts, experimentation and creativity that is committed to rescuing disused spaces to manage them with quality cultural uses. It opened its doors as a self-managed, free and artistic resistance centre in 2013. It is committed to giving a voice to New Media Arts and avant-garde creators focused on promoting disciplines such as Urban Art, Videoart, Performance, Parkour, and Sound Art, bringing them closer to the general public. The Artists residency consists of 8 spaces between 40 and 80 m2.
Within the Museum, the CIDV Video Art Documentation and Research Centre was created, which reaches agreements with other Museums such as the Alameda Art Center in Mexico, with whom it generates visibility strategies for their respective archives through exhibitions and talks. Since its inception, La Neomudejar has been acquiring works by different national and international artists that have formed the Museum's collection.
