ESPRONCEDA Center for Art and Culture

Created in 2013, Espronceda was founded to create an innovative platform for artistic and cultural research that could produce social impact and social change  in society. Its mission is to provide a multidisciplinary environment for promoting international dialogue between artists, curators, critics, gallerists, collectors, culture managers,scientists, diplomats, academics across Europe and worldwide, allowing them to collaborate for the best cultural and social solutions.

While hosting permanent artists, Espronceda provides a platform for the dialogue of contemporary art in an international context and has launched a twofold residency programme. The mandate of the Artist in Residence programme is to invite internationally recognised artists, curators and art critics to Barcelona and showcase their activities. Espronceda also provides extensive cultural and educational programs as well as a variety of workshops.
