Believing that training and skill building are quite essential in the field of visual media, Asian Academy of Film & TV, has been imparting education and training in the art & craft of film making in television presentation since 1993.

The academy was planned as an alternative to formal film schools and has since come a long way making a unique place for itself amongst the best global centers of education of its kind. Growing to be certified as the first ISO 9001:2000 film school in this part of the world in less than a decade since its inception, the Academy was also approved as an international level training center by the 125 year old City & Guilds of the United Kingdom in the year 2002.

Students with varied background, experience and culture are selected for admission to the academy for their talent and enthusiasm. Although students spend most of their time on the projects, the education and training imparted at AAFT is more than just a craft model.

Education and training for various courses are provided by expert media practitioners supplemented by visiting guest lecturers who are leading exponents of their specialized skills in the practical craft of film & television production.

The Academy has also done pioneering work of generating training a world class material in the form of books and video recordings on the various techniques of film and television production both for the benefit of its students and the practicing film and television professionals. The Documentation Center of the academy has produced a number of books on the art & screen presentation.

The academy is affiliated to the International Film & Television Research Center which aims at raising professional standards of films and television presentations. Film and Television personalities from all over the world are often the guest of the Research Center. AAFT is also affiliated to International Film & Television club.

Festivals of Israel, Japanese, Croatian, Norwegian and Russian films have already been organized by the Club in the past. Students of the academy greatly benefit from the activities of both these organizations.

AAFT has become the strongest media training centre in Asia whose 4000 alumni have made a mark in the filed of films ,TV and other art forms .Films & Television are indeed a window on the world. Nothing has affected our past or will affect our future as much as the tremendous capability of Films and Television has done to communicate all sorts of information across all cultures so effectively and expeditiously. The convergence of telecommunication, computing and television has indeed revolutionized the way we live and do our work.

International Students
Asian Academy of Film & TV is now internationally known and has been consistently attracting students from various Asian, African & European countries as well as the USA. Students from as many as 55 countries have already enrolled at the academy for various courses of their choice and this fraternity is expanding year after year.

Special Courses for the Government
Government departments too depute their staff for need based training to the AAFT. Good neighbourly relations between India and Bhutan were further strengthened in May 2001, when the academy agreed to train a few officials of the Government of Bhutan. AAFT has also trained a few members of the staff of Lok Sabha in the recent past. Students of various colleges and schools in the country too regularly visit the academy to familiarize themselves with the art & craft of screen presentation. Numerous organizations have been honouring the AAFT for rendering valuable services in the field of film and television training. More than 100 local, national and international level awards have so far been conferred on this academy.

Campus
The campus of the AAFT is situated in the heart of the sprawling 100 acre landscape of the Film City of Noida. Developed within its lush green landscape in close proximity of a number of sensuous locations including lakes, ponds, hills, the banks of the Yamuna river, Massoori village on the Ghaziabad Hapur stretch, bewitching gardens, the mighty toll road, the mud village, the native village of the five Pandavas, palaces, havellis, swimming pools, huge golf clubs, multiple centers of temples, mosques, churches for spiritual and religious backdrops, all wonderfully matching up with the 25 acres of the integrated indoor shooting facilities available at the Marwah Studios, the campus of AAFT can beat that of any other world class center for training in the art and craft film and television on the planet.
