Spain | SMIFest 2023 for emerging Asian filmmakers and artists

SMIFest is calling for submissions from filmmakers from Asia for their 2023 edition, to take place in Madrid, Spain, 8–15 October 2023.

SMIFest 2023 is a festival of Asian arthouse cinema, moving image, and video art that takes place in Madrid. It is especially dedicated to emerging Asian filmmakers and artists, but with an eye always on classics and pioneers.

It is an ideal platform to present the most relevant and avant-garde audio-visual works and creators from Korea, Japan, China, India, and the ASEAN countries, as well as facilitating dialogue with Spanish and Latin American moving image professionals.
