AFIAS Moving Images Awards 2019 - call for entries

AFIAS is the Asia Film Industry Association in Spain & Latin America. Its aim is connect Europe, Spain and Latin American visual culture, cinema and moving images with Asia. For this reason, AFIAS MOVING IMAGES AWARDS conducts for the first time in 2019 an annual contest for moving images professionals, experimental filmmakers and video artists from Europe, Asia and Latin America. 

Our mission is to celebrate AFIAS East-meet-West vision and discover the most amazing and emerging moving images artists from all around the world, with a special attention on China. We are open to all points of view and all ideas of moving images.

Awards & Prizes

The winners will receive the title of AFIAS MOVING IMAGES AWARDS of the Year 2019.

1. AFIAS MOVING IMAGES AWARDS 2019. "CHINA section" winner will receive: 
-One month International Artist-in-Residence Program in Beijing (China) to develop a moving images project about China. 
-Professional guidance in China. 
-Professional agenda to visit Chinese artists studios, Chinese art galleries devoted to video, Chinese art institutions, curators and festivals devoted to moving images in China. 
-Final work presentation in China. 
-Extensive media coverage. 
-Winners logo and certificate.

2. AFIAS MOVING IMAGES AWARDS 2019. "EUROPE" section winner will receive: 
-One month International Artist-in-Residence Program in Madrid (Spain). 
-Professional guidance in Spain. 
-Professional agenda to visit Spanish artists studios, art galleries in Madrid, Spanish art institutions, curators and festivals devoted to moving images in Spain. 
-Final work presentation in Madrid. 
-Extensive media coverage. 
-Winners logo and certificate.

Eligibility: 
- Experimental moving images and video artworks from 5 to 60 minutes duration. 
- Participants must be individuals aged eighteen (18) years or over at the time of the Submission(s). 
- The competition is open to every moving images professional.

Entries are welcome from any country in the world.  

Deadlines: 22 November 2018 (earlybird deadline); 22 December (regular deadline); 22 January (late deadline) 

NOTE: entry fee payable - level depends on which deadline you meet
