Call for articles, podcasts and video interviews | Going beyond 'green'

Are you keen on exploring what sustainability means beyond 'greening'? culture360.ASEF.org is looking for writers to produce articles, podcasts and video interviews for the Insights section of our website!

What type of editorial content are we looking for?

This month, culture360.ASEF.org invites writers to explore sustainability within the arts and cultural sector.

A strong narrative around the gravity of the climate crisis and environmental degradation in and through the arts and culture sector has been built but the definition of sustainability would not be complete without looking at the economic, social and cultural/heritage dimensions.

Sustainability in the arts also involves supporting the well-being, health, equity, and long-term growth of individuals, communities and societies. This was a key takeaway from the “Recalibrating the Compass: Sustainable and Ethical Practices in the Cultural Sector” online roundtable organised by ASEF in 2022. Beyond profitability and political changes, is there a sustainable way of operating in the arts and build resilient arts organisations and arts practices? How do we develop a sustainable career in the sector? What about sustainability in heritage preservation, promotion and management?

We welcome your contributions in the form of articles (either features or interviews), podcasts and video interviews that broaden the discourse on aspects and methods of sustainability.
