Germany | Pina Bausch Fellowship for Dance and Choreography 2024
The 2024 Pina Bausch Fellowship for Dance and Choreography, to take place between 1 September 2024 and 31 August 2025 for at least 3 months, is calling for international applications.
Each fellowship format is designed entirely by the applicants and their cooperation partners. The duration depends on the individually designed format, but it should not be less than 3 months. In 2024, a variety of cooperation formats will be supported, taking place on-site, virtually or in a hybrid form.
What is provided?
Artists can apply for a full-time fellowship (21 hours or more per week) or a part-time format (20 hours or less per week). The monthly allowance is 2,500 EUR for a full-time fellowship or 1,000 EUR for part-time fellowships.
The participants must calculate travel costs. These travel expenses should cover travel to and from the fellowship location, and 2 visits to Wuppertal, Germany (introduction week and final week). Travel expenses will be paid in addition to the monthly grant.
The introductory week MEET THE FELLOWS! will take place (dates TBC). The total funding amount for all fellowships awarded in 2024 is 30,000 EUR and will be divided among the successful applicants.
Eligibility
All artists from the field of dance and choreography with at least 2 years of professional experience and/or with a formal degree are eligible. All dance forms are welcome.
