Dhaka DocLab 2023 for Asian documentary filmmakers

Dhaka DocLab is calling for applications from Asian documentary filmmakers for its 7^th edition, held in Dhaka from 28 August to 3 September 2023. 

Dhaka DocLab is an Asian platform for pitching and mentoring of documentary filmmakers, which organises an annual event of pitching for South Asian and Asian documentary filmmakers.

There are 3 categories: 

• South Asian projects
• Asia-Pacific projects
• Rough-cut or work-in-progress projects

A wide variety of mentors and decision makers from different parts of the world will be present during the event and the event builds an ever-growing network of alumni. 

General rules 

Documentary filmmakers from Asia, who have a particular project in any stage of development or production phase, can submit in Dhaka DocLab.

A maximum of two participants can apply for single project.

Any person with keen interest regarding documentary film, documentary filmmaking or who has a potential future project that they want to pitch in near future, can participate as observer in Dhaka DocLab.

Participant fees range from 50 USD to 200 USD.
