Asian Film Festival Barcelona 2024

Asian Film Festival Barcelona, which will hold its 12th edition from 23 October to 3 November 2024, is calling for films in the categories of Fiction and Documentary Feature.

The Asian Film Festival Barcelona | AFFBCN addresses a very wide geographic extension, ranging from Iran, Central Asia, a region that includes the former Soviet republics of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, to which they add Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka; East and Southeast Asia from China, Korea, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia and Vietnam; and Asia Pacific with Australia and New Zealand.

The festival will accept films produced between 2022 and 2024 and the films must cover the festival’s geography.

The festival will bring together more than 100 films that will be grouped into the 5 sections – Official, Official Panorama, Discoveries, NETPAC and Special. There are awards for Best Film, Best Director, and Best Screenplay in each of the 5 sections of the festival.
