Asia-Europe Short Films Contest is launched!

To mark the occasion of its 15th Anniversary, the Asia-Europe Foundation has launched the first Asia-Europe Short Films Contest.

Young aspiring filmmakers and film enthusiasts from Asia and Europe are invited to express their views on the relations between both regions through their short, up to 3 min films of any type - animation, documentary, fiction, mobile phone video. Short films about Asia and Europe’s connections of the future, through culture, arts, environment, education or individual relationships will compete for international recognition.

Four winners selected by a Jury of renowned filmmakers, and one chosen by special online public voting, will receive valuable prizes. All winners will be flown to Singapore for a two-day hands-on filmmaking workshop at the prestigious NYU Tisch School of the Arts in Singapore.  At the Award Ceremony on 17th May 2012, the first place winner will also receive a SGD5000 cash prize.

The deadline for entries is 9 April 2012.
