ASEF attends | Life on Mars: Towards a metamorphosis?

How are institutions addressing the new cultural and political order?

What new innovative (or transformative) creative practices are artists introducing that need to be observed and understood?

Which are the practices that are inspiring the cultural sector nowadays based on new models of social inclusion, cultural and political participation?

These are some of the questions that the event Life on Mars 2019 – “Toward a metamorphosis?” will address next week on 10-11 September in Milan, Italy. Valentina Riccardi, ASEF Senior Project Manager for culture will be among the represented organisations that will participate in the dicussions around this paradigm-shift in the artistic practices, in the cultural policies, and on the theme of “cultural resistance”. The latter is here understood as a transformative attitude that is giving shape to cultural organisations that are experimenting models, policies and collaborative artistic practices of sustainable development. In addition to a number of international organisations, several Italian cultural operators will also take part in the discussion. 

Life on Mars 2019 – “Toward a metamorphosis” will offer networking opportunities for artists, institutions, researchers and cultural professionals, using participatory formats that offer opportunities of discussion and new relationships.
