The International Workshop on Resource Mobilisation (IWRM) Asia aiming to build the fundraising capacity of non-profit organisations takes place in Bangkok, Thailand from 25-28 October 2011. Bursaries are available for 10 selected NGO representatives from Asia. Apply now! The Resource Alliance has a 10 year history of organising the IWRM. It is widely recognised as the leading training for building the fundraising capacity of non-profit organisations in the emerging economics.  Host countries have included India, Malaysia, South Africa and Kenya. The IWRM is a 3-4 day conference focused on providing comprehensive training in all aspects of resource mobilisation and sustainable fundraising techniques. Through a vibrant mixture of hands-on ‘how to’ workshops and high-energy plenaries, our aim is to equip participants with a thorough grounding in resource mobilisation theory, as well as a set of practical techniques with which to build their fundraising capacity. Bursaries

The Resource Alliance is committed to building the fundraising capabilities of the non-profit sector worldwide. The Resource Alliance is therefore pleased to offer bursaries to eligible candidates from emerging economies. 10 bursaries will be awarded to selected delegates across Asia to participate in the IWRM Asia 2011. These are awarded by the selection committee according to the terms and conditions outlined below.

Eligibility criteria

• Applicants should represent a small or medium local NGO based in Asia (total budget less than USD 50,000 a year).
• Applicant organisations must show exemplary fundraising skills and good governance practice.
• Applicant organisations should not propagate political or religious doctrines.

Bursary details

The bursary will cover full board accommodation from 25 -28 October 2011. This includes:

• 3 nights’ accommodation and meals at the meeting venue.
• Access to all the social networking events at the IWRM Asia 2011.

Please note that the bursary does not cover air fares or transportation costs. We encourage you to seek sponsorship to ensure that you are able to cover own travel cost. Bursaries will only be given to delegates who have secured funding for their travel (airfare) cost.
