will comprise of a three-day workshop and seminar involving 10 architecture students and 10 professionals between September and October 2013. The participants will collaborate on a design proposal for the waterfront of Kaunas, Lithuania’s second largest city. The design outcome will later be presented and exhibited at the Kaunas Architecture Festival.
Previous activities in the framework of the East Meets East
initiative were successfully organised in Kaunas (2002), Vilnius (2009) Tokyo (2011). While each of the architectural workshops had a distinctive focus, all of the events were organised by partners from Eastern Europe and East Asia. The 4th edition of the workshop in Kaunas will also be organised following the same structure and be defined around the specific theme of waterfront design.
