Art Economy Forum 2015 | Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
On 8 December 2015 the first
Art Economy Forum (AEF) will take place at Wisma ITBM Hall, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to discuss
cultural development and the arts in Malaysia and in South East Asia.
Organized by the
Malaysian Institute of Translation and Books (ITBM),
Vallette Gallery and
Razak School of Government (RSOG), the Art Economy Forum (AEF) 2015 brings together
policy makers, academics, artists and entrepreneurs to explore concrete proposals to support the arts and the expansion of the cultural economy. The one-day event builds upon the Art Economy Conference (AEC) 2015 in March.
The positive feedback underlines the importance of open discussions to share both international and local experiences, to explore networking possibilities and to brainstorm practical applicable solutions to support the growing creative economy. To reach the aim of building a flourishing cultural ecosystem and to develop a sustainable foundation and strategies for growth, the AEF will cooperate with international as well as local partners. During
4 panel discussions moderated by Charlotte Cousins, curator and writer, those partners, the invited speakers and the audience will discuss specifically:
