SIVO International Dance and Music Festival

During the World Dance and Music Festival SIVO audiences can enjoy folkloric song and dance from all over the world in the dolmen village of Borger, the Netherlands. The dance groups show their special colorful costumes and traditional instruments.

There are special activities for the youngest visitors and modern dance is also included. On the festival site on the Hoofdstraat in Borger, dancing takes place on various stages. The main stage and the area for spectators is completely covered. The programme offers a lot of interaction in the form of workshops.

A cultural 'Heritage Market' is also held on Saturdays and Sundays. Various companies are responding to the festival with promotions and special arrangements.  

All guests are accommodated by host-families (some 400 yearly). The festival has a high level of organisation and we only invite ensembles with a high amateur level of folk art.
