The Korea Foundation

As a lead organisation of Korea’s international exchange and public diplomacy initiatives, the Korea Foundation communicates and interacts with the world so that Korea and its people can be better understood throughout the global community. In doing so, the Foundation strives to make friends with people across the world, along with enhancing Korea’s global stature. To fulfill our mission, the Korea Foundation extends support to promote Korean Studies education worldwide, in addition to bringing the richness and vibrancy of Korean culture, including hallyu (Korean Wave), to global audiences. Of note, the Foundation implements a variety of programs to share Korea’s “success story,” in terms of its acclaimed economic development and notable transition to a liberal democracy, to help advance the world’s prosperity and well-being.
