The Karachi Biennale Trust, the organiser of the Biennale, comprises of art professionals and concerned citizens, who have been giving their time gratis to the initiative since its inception, with the hope that as talent and ideas converge in Karachi every two years, it will be a transformative experience for its citizens. The need for a collective celebration such as the Biennale, has great significance in a fractured city, where shared cultural experience can be an important tool in bridging differences.
