International Music Festival Phnom Penh

The annual music festival provides an important opportunity for the future development of young Khmer artists. Its approach to promote Western Classical Music is based on the concept that understanding of different art forms is only possible in the context of the respective from which they evolve. 

International Music Festival Phnom Penh aims to establish a basic and stable economic system of the arts during times of social reconciliation and efforts. In connection with recent discussions on globalism, the Foundation believes the arts, both local-traditional as well as Western Classical, may play an important role in the development of a new Cambodia. Their ongoing efforts to invite new ensembles and musicians from all over the globe will greatly benefit the continuity of music education of an international standard in Cambodia.
