Film Ireland began publication in 1987 as a photocopied newsletter, containing news about current Irish short and feature film productions, information on funding schemes, and film festival reports. Since then the magazine has evolved to provide both practical and academic coverage of Irish filmmaking complimented by our extensive website, filmireland.net. Film Ireland is Ireland’s only dedicated film magazine.
