Croatian Audiovisual Centre
Hrvatski audiovizualni centar / Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC) is the government-backed strategic agency for the audiovisual sector in Croatia, which aims to stimulate a successful, vibrant audiovisual industry as well as promote an understanding of audiovisual works throughout Croatia.
HAVC provides public funding for development, production, promotion and sales of Croatian film abroad, festivals, schemes and programmes aimed at widening audience choice, supporting film education, culture and archives, as well as skills and training initiatives. The production of Croatian films of all formats and genres, including minority co-productions is supported in the following categories: Features, Documentaries, Animation and Experimental.
The call for applications for International Co-Production Scheme for all categories (features, shorts, documentaries, animation) is an open call with four yearly submission deadlines. The funding is provided for fiction, documentary and animation films, both feature length and short films originating outside Croatia in which a Croatian producer is involved as a creative collaborator and provider of a minority of the finance needed; and where the film is structured as an official co-production.
