Creative Industries and Cultural Tourism Development Fund

The Creative Industries and Cultural Tourism Development Fund is an innovative organization in the field of management of social and cultural processes based in the Republic of Karelia, in the Russian Federation. Impulsed by local public institutions, its team of professional project managers view culture, tourism, education and information technologies as the main resources for regional development.

The Fund’s distinctive features are identifying project design as a priority approach, using new technologies in cultural management (in areas such as social and cultural project development, marketing and fundraising) and creating partner network communities and active involvement in national and international networks. The organisation gives special importance to regional development in North Europe within the framework of cooperation with the Ministry of Education of Finland and many other international projects.

In terms of education, the Fund organizes seminars and training courses on management in the area of culture and cultural tourism and project management, promotes project ideology among cultural institutions of Karelia, and holds project competitions. As for contemporary art, the institution develops Karelian art and facilitates its promotion in national and international levels. It assists in integration and development of new technologies of culture and art.
