Association of Cultural Economics

The Association for Cultural Economics (AEC) is an officially recognised, non-profit organisation established in Rome in 1986 with the aim of deepening the increasingly strong connections between culture and economics in post-industrial societies.

The core activities of the Association include:

  • studies and research dealing with the economic, financial and institutional aspects of cultural policies, as well as their role in promoting social cohesion, support for employment and intercultural dialogue
  • national and international conferences and round tables
  • publishing and dissemination activities

AEC operates through membership fees and support by intergovernmental bodies, public institutions and private organisations.
