Yxine Film Fest Viet Nam | call

The fifth edition of Yxine Film Fest launches a call for entries for YxineFF 2014. The theme is dreams and dreamers. YxineFF (Yxine Film Fest) is an annual online international short film festival, founded in Viet Nam in 2010.

With the slogan “Sharing. Love. Cinema“, YxineFF’s target audience is young independent filmmakers and cinema lovers.

“We look forward to receiving the most distinctive and creative works from the young filmmakers who dare to follow their dreams. Just let your minds fly, discover the world through your personal lenses. YxineFF 2014 welcomes you, the dreamers.” – shared Mr. Marcus Manh Cuong Vu, President and Head of the film selection committee of YxineFF.

YxineFF 2014 accepts submissions  up to the deadline of 30^th June 2014. Vietnamese and international filmmakers can send films of all genres, which do not exceed 60 minutes in length, in 4 categories: International Competition, Local Competition, Panorama and In Focus. The fifth edition will officially commence on 19^th September 2014 and the closing and award ceremony will take place in December 2014.

We believe that filmmakers are the dreamers, they dream to bring their audience the stories that go beyond reality, reflect their inner personal aspirations and cover them all by the cinematic language and those beautiful frames on screen … And at the end of the day, when the dream comes true, it is time that the story becomes part of life, becomes priceless.

The YxineFF project receives support from many organizations, companies and individuals, including the Danish Cultural Development & Exchange Fund, Goethe Institute Vietnam, British Council Vietnam and the U.S Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City.

YxineFF 2013 was themed “Choice“, following ‘Individual’ (2012),  ‘Belief’ (2011) and ‘Love’ (2010).
