The upcoming CINESONIKA 3 will showcase international works of film and video with fascinating soundtracks, idiosyncratic sound design, eclectic scoring and innovative approaches to the sound-image relationship. Having been held in Vancouver, Canada since its inception in 2010, 2013 will see Cinesonika move outside of its native Canada for the very first time as it relocates to Derry/Londonderry as part of UK City of Culture. The festival will be jointly hosted by the Nerve Centre and the University of Ulster’s School of Creative Arts.

The festival is open to works in any format, including narrative, documentary, animation, experimental, and un categorizable styles, with no minimum or maximum run time.
