President's Design Award | Singapore | call for nominations

The President’s Design Award is one of Singapore's most distinguished Award for local designers and their designs.
Nominations are open to all design disciplines, including advertising design and visual communications, architecture and urban design, fashion design, interior design, landscape design, product and industrial design. Projects should be community-driven in spirit, and should ideally demonstrate cross-disciplinary and multi-sectoral collaborations. Proposed projects must involve the creation and presentation of new and original work, and/or the presentation of new solutions to old problems.
People are invited to nominate their Designer of the Year and Design of the Year for 2011. Stage A submissions of nominations and citations by the public has been extended to Tuesday, 24 May 2011 at 6pm (SGT).
The Grant provides funding of up to S$50,000 per applicant. Grant quanta can be combined if two or more Award Recipients collaborate on a single project. Large-scale project proposals that demonstrate significant collaboration with several partners across different design disciplines and/or sectors are further entitled to funding of up to S$200,000 per project.
The applicant should seek alternative sources of sponsorships so as to ensure sufficient funding to carry the activity through.
