National Arts Council Singapore | call for Ambassadors Programme Venice Biennale 2022

The National Arts Council Singapore is seeking individuals for the Ambassadors Programme at the Singapore Pavilion. They will undertake various duties during the Venice Biennale 2022. Applicants must be Singaporean Citizens or Permanent Residents of Singapore.

The 59th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia (Venice Biennale 2022) will take place from 23 April to 27 November 2022. Established in 1895, it is the most established international contemporary art event and widely regarded as the most significant. This will be Singapore’s tenth time participating in the Biennale.

The National Arts Council is seeking individuals for the Ambassadors Programme at the Singapore Pavilion. A total of 10 Ambassadors will be selected for the Programme. Ambassadors will undertake various duties including providing administrative and technical support at the Singapore Pavilion. They will assist in managing the reception for the Singapore Pavilion, along with the general care and maintenance of the Pavilion.

The selected Ambassadors will be provided with accommodation, daily stipend and travel insurance from the Council to subsidise travel and living costs and ensure welfare and safety in Venice during their time there.

Ambassadors will be responsible for their own travel to and from Venice, Italy. Additionally, Ambassadors are responsible for their own expenses for pre-trip and post-trip quarantine isolation in Venice and Singapore respectively (if required), as well as COVID-19 tests before and after quarantine isolation, as required by the prevailing guidelines set out for entry into Italy and return to Singapore.

Eligibility: Applicants must be Singaporean Citizens or Permanent Residents of Singapore. All applicants must provide a valid COVID-19 Vaccination Report or Digital COVID-19 Certificate or equivalent that certifies vaccinated status (see guidelines for eligible vaccines).
