Lucca Biennale LUC-CA OFF 2021- call for paper art works

LUCCA BIENNALE CARTASIA is the world’s biggest Paper Art event in the world. The 10th Edition of the Biennale will be postponed due to Covid-19 pandemic from 2020 to 2021. An international call for entries is open, specifically for LUC-CA BIENNALE OFF, for paper artworks to be exhibited in indoor commercial spaces such as restaurants, shops, hotels in the town.

Do you want to exhibit your work in a different context than exhibition spaces? Lucca Biennale OFF is the one for you: a section in which paper art is diffused within the commercial activities of the city of Lucca. Send us your application, you can find all the info on our website!

During the event, the city of Lucca is completely transformed into an immersive exhibition. While walking through the beautiful city, visitors can enjoy the artworks exhibited outdoors, in the city’s squares, or in historical buildings located in the city center.

On the occasion of the 10th edition of LUCCA BIENNALE CARTASIA a new section will be launched: “LUC- CA BIENNALE OFF”. As part of this new initiative, it will be possible to also admire PAPER ART WORKS in unusual contexts such as restaurants, shops, hotels, professional studios and craft workshops.

All artists who are interested in working with paper, cardboard and its derivatives are invited to participate.

The selected artists will have two free tickets that will guarantee access to all various Lucca Biennale exhibitions. All participants who will not be selected will be provided with a reduced-price ticket. “OFF” locations are not exhibition spaces (but restaurants, shops, hotels, workshops and similar) and therefore artists who wish to participate are invited to carefully consider this particular characteristic of the event.

A maximum of 10 works can be submitted and the deadline for the call is set for August 1st, 2020.
