Kinosaki Arts Center | residency programme call

Applications are now open for the 2018-2019 Artist-In-Residence program at Kinosaki International Arts Center (KIAC), a creative residence facility centered on the performing arts.
■Intended program period
1st April 2018 – 31st March 2019
■Eligible projects
The following two points are necessary application requirements:
・The project should be focused on modern performing arts.
In addition to artistic activities and research, it is possible for art-related personalities to hold events such as lectures and symposiums.
・The project should be realizable (artists must provide results of past activities, production and budget plans, schedules and any other document that can certify the project can be appropriately managed and carried out effectively.
Kinosaki International Arts Center is situated in Kinosaki Onsen, a hot spring town blessed with a 1300-year history. Kinosaki is located in Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture, which is well known for its rich natural environment and for having successfully reintroduced the Oriental White Stork back into the wild. KIAC is a facility where artists can concentrate on their creative activities. Since 2014, many artists have stayed here to create pieces of work that have then been spread both throughout Japan and overseas.
Through this residency program, we hope to create opportunities for artists, local residents and tourists to exchange and create together.
