The Designboom Mart will take place in Bangkok for the first time. After successful stints in Tokyo, Copenhagen, Seoul, St Etienne, Stockholm, Melbourne, and Sydney, the Bangkok edition will be part of the Thailand International Furniture Fair (TIFF) to showcase the best of Thailand's artistic flair and craftsmanship.



Designboom marts typically gather thirty to forty designers to let them introduce their products into the marketplace for the first time, giving them exposure to many potential business contacts. The marts serve as a unique interactive platform for emerging and established designers to test their new ideas at a very low exhibition cost, prior to investing large sums into solo shows.

During the exhibition, the designers have the chance to discuss their work with other like-minded professionals, customers, manufacturers, distributors, press and museum curators.

How to participate

Designboom is currently selecting the products that are going to be presented during the Bangkok Mart. Please email  a few images of your objects that you would like to bring to mail@designboom.com with the subject line "designboom mart bangkok". E-mails should not exceed 3Mb.
The submitted products can be for sale, for exhibition only, or both.
Participants will have a small booth to themselves to sell and exhibit work.

Criteria

Please keep in mind that the mart is a sales exhibition,
Therefore you are invited to sell a small amount of (self) produced items priced from 450 thai baht - 4500 - thai baht (ca. 10-100 euros)

(objects intended for sale should be lightweight and easy to carry)
