Cultural Relations Platform call for experts

The Cultural Relations Platform (CRP) is recruiting a pool of international cultural relations and cultural cooperation experts for a short-term assignment for the development of learning materials relating to international cultural relations (ICR) trainings delivered to staff of global EU Delegations and European Institutions in headquarters (Brussels).

The CRP will recruit the pool of experts for a period from February to June 2024 (a number of days will be allocated over the period). Remote work for this assignment is possible; experts worldwide are encouraged to apply.

The materials will be used for an online training with various digital modules focusing on different global issues linking to culture, such as: 

  • Culture & Public Diplomacy
  • Culture & Creative Industries for Economic Growth 
  • Culture, Conflict Prevention & Peacebuilding
  • Culture & Youth
  • Culture & Sustainable Development
  • Culture & Social Cohesion
  • Culture, Human Rights & Freedom of Speech 
  • Intercultural Dialogue & Cultural Awareness
  • Culture & Disinformation 
  • Culture & Protecting Cultural Heritage in Conflict Zones

Profile of the experts

  • Minimum 5 years of post-graduate professional experience in international cultural relations, cultural diplomacy, the arts, cultural and creative industries and sectors, etc.
  • Expertise and knowledge of, at least, one of the above-mentioned topics or fields
  • Knowledge of EU-initiated policies, programmes and initiatives supporting cultural relations/exchanges between the EU and third countries is an asset
  • Demonstrated experience in data collection, analytical research, and reporting
  • Demonstrated experience in research coordination, monitoring and evaluating activities and projects
  • Excellent written and spoken skills in English
  • Knowledge of additional languages is strongly valued
