Stockholm | Weaving Politics symposium
International interdisciplinary symposium on choreography, violence and human rights takes place
14 – 16 December 2012 at Dansens Hus, Stockholm.
WEAVING POLITICS addresses choreography as a weaving labor of politics. And by a cobweb of specific languages and disenchanted knowledge engages in a scrutiny of the notions and practices of human rights, and violence.
The symposium invites choreography, philosophy, sociology, cultural studies, law, political science and the general public to a three-days storm of lectures, discussions, and choreographic events in critical interaction.

Pivotal event of the symposium is the choreographic event
Human Writes by William Forsythe and Kendall Thomas, performed by the
Forsythe Company with guests from the Cullberg Ballet, ccap and the community of dancers in Stockholm. Additional events will be presented by Cristina Caprioli/ccap
