New Dance for Asia 2023 International Festival

From 3 to 5 August 2023 Contemporary Dance Company Designare Movement will host the 12^th New Dance for Asia (NDA) International Festival in Daegu, Korea.

This festival is an Asian-specialised international dance exchange festival for young contemporary dancers, with participation from countries including Korea, Japan, France, Thailand, and China. The works of 40 artists are presented at the festival.

A total of 4 festival programmes further explore the expertise of modern dance, and present a high-quality modern dance festival in Daegu based on diversity and a willingness to expand the base of the audience. 

Selected participating groups and dancers will be invited to festivals in Asia and Europe in 2024, which are under international exchange and cooperation with the NDA. Since 2015 the NDA has been focusing on young choreographers entering the European market in cooperation with the MASDANZA International Dance Festival (from the Canary Islands, Spain), and this year they will present 6 works as part of this collaboration.
