None
Interaction 12 will gather 75 speakers over 4 days to discuss and connect through interaction design from around the world. The event is co-organized by IxDA, a global network for professional interaction designers that counts over 20000 members since 2004 and provides an online forum for discussion on interaction design practices and opportunities. The conference programme includes workshops at the Institute of Art, Design & Technology (IADT) and will target subjects such as social experiences, healthcare, emotional engagement, and visual storytelling. Keynote presentations by a prestigious number of speakers will cover the various ways in which designers work across media, and also look at the impact of game design in everyday life. An inaugural Interaction Awards will also be launched this year to celebrate excellence in the field of interaction design, and to encourage sharing practices among the global interaction design community. Over 300 entries from 33 countries were received for the 2012 Awards. 72 projects were shortlisted by an international panel of peer reviewers and reviewed by a selected Jury.
