The Causeway EXchange Festival (CEX) aims at building a bridge between Singapore and Malaysia through artistic and cultural activities that are based on "humour, wit, and irony". Launched in 2010, the event is a joint initiative between Malaysia and Singapore and acts as a platform for exchange and mutual understanding between the two countries. The programme includes films, plays, literary, and visual arts by Singaporean and Malaysian artists interested in sharing unexpected perspectives on their country's most famous stereotypes. This year's schedule includes two plays, four films, three exhibitions, as well as a dramalogue workshop and a poetry slam session. CEX is organised by DMR Productions and Asian Culture Enterprise (Singapore), in association with The Actors Studio.
