BIPAM 2021 Bangkok International Performing Arts Meeting

BIPAM 2021 international performing arts meeting and festival takes place in Bangkok and online 1-5 September. Register now for a programme of talk sessions led by speakers from Southeast Asia. The sessions are open for festival organizers, contemporary artists, curators, producers, arts managers and arts academics from around the world to attend, meet up, network, and pitch fresh ideas, as well as encourage collaborative works on local and international level alike.

What is it that belongs to us?

Can we embrace it, create and guide it towards a better future?

BIPAM invites you to explore and engage in a dialogue together.

BIPAM is a platform that brings together the audience and practitioners of performing arts in all capacities, lets them share experiences with one another, as well as enable chances for collaboration. As BIPAM follows the difficult situations across the Southeast Asian region in 2021, we propose this theme as a way to find fresh insights and inspiration to the arts community.

The COVID-19 pandemic has raised many questions about our lives. We are facing tough times, we are at a loss of both inspiration and motivation. Therefore, BIPAM 2021 would like to ‘fuel’ more energy, add creativity to our community through the theme of ‘ownership’, through a variety of performing arts pieces in the international arts festival BIPAM 2021.

BIPAM 2021 is a contemporary arts festival providing a shared platform between arts practitioners and audiences from all over the world. And this year we are back online. We have selected 6 new performances from Thai and Southeast Asian artists, inviting you to explore and start a dialogue about ideas around you, be it identity, body, gender, creative works, asset, opinion, world view, and history.

This event is organized in collaboration with our strategic partners Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) and Contemporary Arts & Culture Industry Promotion Trade Association - Thailand (CAPT), from 1-5 September 2021.
