Asia-Europe Cultural Festival: 2021 | Il Nodo: A Sketch for Hope
An educational synergy of literature and craftsmanship

Il Nodo International Cooperation, together with the Italian Embassy in Bangkok, tells the story of the “Sketch for Hope” project and how it created a vital educational synergy between Italy and Cambodia.
The event includes:
1. an exhibition focused on the story of the project and the “Sketch for Hope” jewellery collection
2. a professional video on the educational and training project of the Bottega dell’Artewith commentary from the Italian designers who have trained the Cambodian students of the Bottega: P. Scarzella, R. Bighetti, R. Tornquist, M. Egger, D. Etienne, P. Algranti; the master craftsmen of the workshop: Lon Phanna, Ry Sangha, Sao Sreymom; students who have graduated and found good work
3. a presentation by Martina Cannetta, Country Representative for Il Nodo. Martina will address the educational and teaching experience of the school and the success of the Bottega dell’Arte project
4. a visit to the exhibition of jewels from the "Sketch for Hope" collection. There will be a conference in Cambodia with online connection to Italy on the theme of the synergy of handicraft and design implemented by Il Nodo as a 'best-practice' for distance learning. The conference will be moderated from Italy by Patrizia Scarzella and attended by artists, designers and architects who contributed drawings to create the “Sketch for Hope” collection
