ASEF and Encatc announce Strategic Partnership at Encatc Digital Congress 2020

The Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) through its arts website culture360.ASEF.org and ENCATC - the European network on cultural management and policy will announce a new strategic partnership for 2021. The annoucement will be made by ASEF's Executive Director Mr Toru MORIKAWA, during the Opening Session of ENCATC Digital Congress, taking place online on 3 November 2020 at 14:40 CET.

Through this partnership, ASEF and ENCATC aim to strenghten their long-standing friendship with a joint  project developed in early 2021 as well as a communication and knowledge exchange partnerhsip. In the coming weeks, the two organisations will sign a Memorandum of Understanding to seal this new strategic alliance for 2021 and beyond. This partnership is the result of the open call for strategic partnerships launched by culture360 in March this year.

The 2020 ENCATC Digital Congress titled “Cultural management and policy in a post-digital world – navigating uncertainty”  aims to explore ground-breaking innovations in cultural management and policy education and encourage steps to ensure significant improvements in this industry.
Different cultural agents are (re)positioning themselves in a post-digital context where digital has not been left behind, but rather where digitisation is embedded in all spheres of life and profoundly marks cultural shifts. What new, unforeseen challenges emerge for the cultural sector in a post-digital context and, in particular, after the coronavirus outbreak? How could cultural management and policy education prepare itself to adapt to a new scenario?
With the help of an international roster of experts, this will be the opportunity for educators, researchers, cultural professionals, policy makers, and artists to thoroughly explore and share new knowledge, innovative practices, and insightful experiences on how arts and culture can stimulate reflection, and come up with new ideas and innovative solution to respond to challenges faced in our increasingly digital societies.
