Tampere Film Festival is a short film festival with an International and National Competition. The festival also offers seminars, exhibitions, concerts and club nights - and above all, opportunities for audiences and filmmakers to meet.

Prizes in the International Competition: Grand Prix (5000 euro), Best Animation, Best Fiction and Best Documentary 1500 euro each, Prix UIP Tampere 2000 euro (also nomination in the European Film Awards). There are two main sections in the National Competition; under 30 minutes and over 30 minutes. Prize money are 5000 euro for Main Prize and 1500 euro for Special Prize in each of the sections.

The Festival is acknowledged by the International Federation of Film Producers Association FIAPF/IFFPA and abides by its instructions and regulations. It is a member of the International Short Film Conference ISFC
