Bagri Foundation

The Bagri Foundation is a UK registered charity, inspired by unique and unexpected ideas that weave the traditional and the contemporary of Asian culture. The Foundation is driven by curiosity, a desire to learn and supports a myriad of exciting artistic programmes that challenge, engage and inspire.

The Bagri Foundation, established in 1990, is a family foundation that has been headed up by 3 generations of the Bagri family.  Its mission is to realise unique, unexpected ideas that weave traditional Asian culture with contemporary thinking.

Through a diverse programme of film, visual arts, music, dance, literature, courses and lectures, the Bagri Foundation gives artists and experts from across Asia, or those inspired by the continent, wider visibility on the global stage.

The foundation provides support, usually in the form of grants, towards artistic and educational projects. They also establish partnerships following a collaborative model and their partners range in scale—from large national and international organisations like the British Museum in London and The Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York, to middle-size and smaller cultural and artistic organisations that share their ethos and mission.
