AVIAMA – International Association of Puppet Friendly Cities

AVIAMA is an association which gathers cities and local governments of the whole world around the puppet.

Established in 2010, this association, whose head office is in Charleville-Mézières, France, includes a network of cities that promote the importance of the puppetry in the wider cultural context. AVIAMA network of cooperation includes cities in France, Poland, Korea, Luxembourg, Belgium, Japan, Czech Republic and Spain.

AVIAMA offers mobility awards to puppet companies and artists through the network. The AVIAMA International Initiative Award was launched in 2021 to reward innovative actions which contribute to highlight the puppetry arts.
